HEXBOUND

Client/Author/Artist: Antonio Demico

Services: Cover Design, Interior Layout, Formatting for Digital & Offset Printing

It was an absolute honour to be able to work on a Dungeons & Dragons 5e Supplement when I am such a fan of the game. Artist and creator Antonio Demico (also know as Pointy Hat) provided all the content and art assets. His beautiful art is what initially drew me to the project. I was tasked with the layout of the 200ish page tome, and creating additional character and spell cards to match. This included initially exporting for digital as a downloadable PDF for Kickstarter backers, then we moved on to print production. The final books would include both a regular edition with spot gloss cover, and a special edition with both gloss and gold foil. I wouldn’t call this an uncomplicated project as the team was extremely international, spanning from Canada, to Spain, to Lithuania, and it was my first time working with European standards for print. It was a really great learning experience, and we managed to make it to the final goal of print and distribution within the timeline. These efforts were also aided by publisher, Hit Point Press. The final hard cover book is gorgeous and will be a stunning addition to many D&D players collections.

The Spectrum Series

Client/Author: Ben Chartier | Illustrator: Vitaly S. Alexius

Services: Title Logos, Covers and one Interior Layout

Red Nexus had an earlier cover design before the rest of the novel series was written and Ben reached out to me hoping I could perform an update. Keeping in mind that the book was now a series and future books would also need to match, I re-laid out the covers (still utilizing the original illustration background art) and created new title art and numbered spines to match. I also laid-out the interior of the 3rd book Green when the original layout designer wasn’t available.
